Preparing for a new school year starts with ACCESS to the right resources. To help families prepare, EBRPHA has compiled upcoming back-to-school events, school supply distributions, health fairs, and other community resources taking place across the Capital Region. This page will be updated as additional opportunities become available.

EBRPHA Back-to-School Bash

Join the East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority and our community partners for our annual Back-to-School Bash. Families can register for school supplies, backpacks, hairstyles, and additional community resources to help students start the school year prepared.

What to Expect: Backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, food, games, music, and family activities.
District 6 Back 2 School Giveaway
Hosted by: Metropolitan Councilman Cleve Dunn Jr.
Time: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Location: District 6 Council Office, 9048 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge
Backpacks and school supplies will be distributed while supplies last.
Baker Chamber of Commerce: School Supplies for Success
Time: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: 3325 Groom Road, Baker
School supplies, backpacks, food, games, vendors, and family activities. Students must be present to receive supplies.
Greater Economic Empowerment & Development Corporation Back-to-School Event
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Greater Philadelphia Baptist Church, Zachary
School supplies, backpacks, health screenings, and community resources for families.

Location: BREC Nairn Drive Park

Hosted by: Metropolitan Councilwoman Carolyn Coleman
