Our mission

Housing is the foundation

The mission of the East Baton Rouge Parish Housing Authority is to provide and develop quality affordable housing for individuals and families while promoting self-sufficiency and neighborhood revitalization.

EBRPHA is an independent organization. A Board of Commissioners sets its policy and direction. EBRPHA serves with fairness and respect, works for equal ACCESS to housing, and invests in stronger neighborhoods across the parish.

We provide ACCESS to quality housing and opportunities that support long-term success.

Innovative Resources

We create communities where people can live, connect, and thrive through thoughtful planning and partnerships.

Building What's Next

We're investing in redevelopment, innovation, and partnerships that create lasting change in the Capital Region.

Expanding Community

We leverage quality housing to connect families with the resources and opportunities that lead to better educational, economic, and health outcomes.

Board of Commissioners

The EBRPHA Board of Commissioners guides the agency, sets its policies, and makes sure it meets its mission to the community. The Metro Council of the City of Baton Rouge appoints the seven members, who each serve a five-year term and may be reappointed.
