Programs that help your family grow
Housing is just the start. These programs help you build savings, skills, and a path forward.
From stability to lasting independence
Family Self-Sufficiency
Our Family Self-Sufficiency program (FSS) pairs you with a coach to set goals you choose for work, school, savings, or homeownership. As your earned income rises, the housing authority sets aside the difference in an escrow account that's yours when you graduate.
It's voluntary, it's free, and it has helped families across the parish turn a stable home into a launching pad.

FSS pairs you with a coach to set goals you choose: work, school, savings, or homeownership. As your earned income rises, EBRPHA sets aside the difference in an escrow account that is yours when you graduate. It is voluntary, and it is offered at no cost to eligible families.
Once a year, EBRPHA reviews your income and household to keep your rent share correct. EBRPHA contacts you with the forms and the timeline. Report major income or household changes when they happen, not just at recertification.
Contact your caseworker or the front office as soon as a change happens: a new job, a raise, or someone moving in or out. Reporting promptly keeps your rent share correct and avoids surprises at recertification.
